Itineraries

Tour has 3 itineraries

  1. Fakuan Temple (place of enlightenment associated with a Bodhisattva)
    8:00

Hōkanji (法觀寺, Hōkanji) is a famous Buddhist temple in Kyoto, known for its towering five-storied pagoda. The pagoda was built in ancient times and is one of the iconic sights in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto. Hōkanji has a long history, and the design of the tower incorporates traditional Japanese architectural styles to symbolize the five elements of Buddhism: earth, water, fire, wind, and air. Strolling along the stone paths around the temple, you can enjoy the harmony between the elegant old buildings and the surrounding natural environment, providing visitors with a tranquil and enlightening experience, making it an excellent choice for exploring Kyoto's history and culture.

  2. Kiyomizu Temple
    14:00

Kiyomizu-dera, one of the most representative ancient temples in Kyoto, is located on Kiyomizu Hill in Higashiyama and was built in 778. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is famous for its spectacular wooden stage overlooking downtown Kyoto, which is especially stunning during the spring cherry blossom and autumn maple seasons. The temple is dedicated to Kannon, the Goddess of Mercy, who brings comfort to devotees seeking marriage and health. Kiyomizu-dera is also known for its crystal-clear Yonaha Waterfall, where visitors can pray and experience ancient Japanese culture.

  3. Ninianzaka Street
    18:00

Ninenzaka Street (二年坂街, Ninenzaka) is a historically rich stone-paved ramp in the Higashiyama area of Kyoto, connecting Kiyomizu Temple and Sanzenzaka. It is one of the most popular traditional districts in Kyoto, known for its well-preserved wooden townhouses and stone-paved old roads. The street is lined with various teahouses, specialty stores, kimono rental stores and cafes, making it an ideal place to experience the old Kyoto charm and buy souvenirs. Especially in the early morning or late afternoon, Ninisaka Street seems to be so quiet that it seems like a step back in time, making it a perfect place for photography and a leisurely stroll.
